Kandis Schraeder-Hill – Bellevue, NE

Greetings from the heart of America, Husker Nation! Born and raised in the Midwest Kandis is honored to represent the married women of Nebraska, the place she has called home for over 20 years.  Kandis is a graduate of Bellevue University and has earned a degree in Marketing Management.

Kandis has a passion for mentoring children and caring for animals.  She encourages and models behaviors to develop her children’s growth by being active as a mentor and through many community service activities.  One of her activities is coaching the Bellevue Junior Sports Association (BJSA) cheer team.  She is also a mentor through the TeamMates Program. Participating in the Mrs. Nebraska Pageant was her way of demonstrating to the children she mentors, that she also sets goals for herself and “walks the walk” managing that delicate balance of hard work, determination and a little FUN!  Her passion for animals shines through in her cherished pets, Magic-a Dalmatian mix, and Duke- a Chiweenie.  Both dogs were lovingly added to her family as rescue animals from the Nebraska Humane Society.

Family life and activities of her two children keep Kandis very busy, but in her spare time she enjoys watching movies with her family, reading, camping, and taking an annual summer vacation.  Kandis’s family looks forward to an annual skiing trip to Winter Park, Colorado in the winter and regular trips to the golf course in the summer months.
